As a family run campsite, Nesta appreciates the importance of keeping the kids occupied throughout your stay with us. All of our activities are open to all ages and will engage, connect and entertain...so that you don't have to.
As well as our programmed activities we have hula hoops, ball games and board games available to borrow at reception
Nesta is honoured to be collaborating with the founders of Wild Tribe Forest School, offering your children a sense of liberty and connection with the elements
Wild Tribe sessions will be available to book every Friday and Saturday during July and August from 10-2pm for groups of 4-6 years and 7-12 years for £30 per child.
Wild Tribe is a Forest School that believes in learning about nature through seasonal artistic activities whilst weaving in old folk tales and stories to nurture imaginations and gain confidence. Having been to many festivals and enlightened children along the way. Wild tribe is excited to base itself here for the summer.
The activities will include making dens, knot tying, fire lighting, cooking on the fire, mud clay moulding, tree identification and creating bug hotels and nests. We go for scavenger walks whilst collecting fallen leaves/ feathers and berries for activities and potions. We will make clay and weave found objects, learning to safely whittle coppiced wood and basic tool use, as well as storytelling and woodland adventurous games.
Explore our world in a whole new way! Run wild and free towards your Bears den; feel the wind in your hair as you set sail on your pirate ship or scurry along the forest floor in search for treasures. Together let's immerse ourselves in creative and imaginative ways of playing in nature for this is where a myriad of opportunities can arise!
At Wild Tribe we are encouraging the children to be curious yet patient, bold yet gentle and above all considerate. We are part of an intricate natural cycle that we only truly understand when we stop and notice each little creature or plant around us. Together we explore and learn through the seasons always being mindful and grateful for what we take, making sure something is always left behind for others. We hope your children will come and join us! We are a tribe, together we make and create; explore and play in nature, with foraged materials, inspired by our surrounding beauty and far reaching imagination...together, as one, as a Wild Tribe!
